Located on Pelican Island at the site of United States’ largest 19th - 20th century immigration stations, it is now the home to the USS Cavalla Submarine and the USS Stewart Destroyer Escort, both available for tours. There is a three-story pavillion, picnic sites, a playground area and a huge lighted fishing pier. The park offers great opportunities for dolphin watching and viewing the huge ships and ferries as they travel in and out of the Houston and Galveston ports.
