See the Bishop’s Palace, Ashton Villa, Moody Mansion, Garten Verein, St. Joseph Church, Powhatan House, Samuel May Williams homes, Michael B. Menard home and the Custom House. A number of the homes provide personal guided tours revealing Victorian, Italianate, Creole plantation and greek Revival architecture and period furnishings. Many of the homes are supported by the Galveston Historical Foundation, a private non-profit organization and nationally recognized leader in historic preservation.
