Galveston boasts 32 miles of beaches including East Beach, West Beach, Stewart Beach and Seawall Beach which features a 17 foot high mural. There are two pocket beach parks, the Galveston Island State Park and white sand freshwater lagoons for children Moody Garden's Palm Beach. Each beach offers unique facilities; some are oriented for beachside entertainment and family fun while others provide great areas for fishing and camping. Facilities available at Galveston beaches are outdoor pavillions, snack bars, gift shops, showers, game rooms, volleybal courts, live music, beach concerts, birding spots, camping facilities, fishing areas, picnic tables, barbecue pits, educational wetlands, children's playgrounds and umbrella, beach chair and personal watercraft rentals.
